It gives you a look inside Baryshnikov's life before he defected to the West and how the ballet in Russia was ran. It also gives you pictures of him when he was a boy growing and a picture of his mother who he loved very much. One of my favorite stastements is on page 13, made by his father when someone showed him the book "Baryshni. Baryshinikov: From Russia to the West This was a badly written form list of performances minus any person thought or feeling on the dance or coming to America. Very dry reading. His coworker Elena Tchernichova got introduced short and cheap as a divorced woman who had a controversial review.
