"Our rich history." according to up a gum tree. Historical fiction is not a genre I would normally choose, but this novella caught my eye. I live in an area also rich with the history of these times and I also know Lincolnshire a little too so I feel well placed to admit that not only did I enjoy the atmosphere created by the author, the romantic weave lent another, very palatable thread of authenticity.Well written, it is not only a romance but an accurate slice of life in those precarious years of Saxon England.. Nice gallop Sglodion Not the kind of thing I'd normally read, I have to say, and I wasn't expecting to enjoy it. Nice to be caught out even at my age. It's the style of writing I enjoy, there's not a page that goes by where something isn't happening. All the characters are well-drawn and place and time is captured excellently. It felt as if I were there.. Marcelle said Twisted. I loved the story but felt that it needed a bit more editing for cohesiveness. If it is ever 're-edited I would love to know. It is story well worth the read. I am reviewing other titles for this Author and hope to see more of this genre. Keep developing the story, the characters are full-time.
