DESCRIPTION:
A 'MUST HAVE' for new DNS Administrators A Customer This book has turned out to be the best investment I've made so far in my 20 year IT career. I've always trusted O'Reilly books for their detailed accuracy. However, for the task at hand, I didn't need a book to explain WHY things work I needed one to tell me how to GET them to work. Plus there's a great section on email and even IPv6The DNS & BIND cook book coupled with the BIND book are truly the BIND bibles.. "Classic book" according to Douggy Fresh. There are more uptodate books now so only worth getting second hand.It explains the topics in a very accessible way for anyone taking on the sys admin/network admin role.

Raza Rizvi, news@UK "Verdict - Not quite everything there is to know about running BIND, but pretty close - 9/10" - Chris Denton, Linuxformat, March 2003 The book is slim, handy and so full of excellent advice that within a day of my picking it up I had (using the information in it) upgraded a number of BIND servers from v8 to
