"Okay as an introduction" according to Jacqueline A. Peterson. I bought this to use as a base level for a course on forensic soil science. What I found over the semester though was that some of the pages were wasted on photographs of crime scenes (pictures of the countryside etc.,) and pages of data and I'd have liked to have seen more case studies (how they were solved and the result) - as it was I found I needed to go to the published literature for examples to highlight the book chapters.
