Really close to great. I gave it five starts because of the writing quality but overall the book was more like a four out of five.Pros:Great sex scenes, an interesting and unique premise, were the main strong suits of this book. I also thought the author absolutely nailed the character of Drake. He had a strong character presence without being overbearing. I'm glad the author was able to create such a strong character while steering clear of common stereotypes of black men.Cons:1. Too much internal monologue from the main character, not enough dialogue between the married couple. On several occasions I wanted to shake the main character and tell him to spit it out . "Great read and plot." according to Argusx. I really enjoyed the plot and the structure of this book. I liked how the wife gets sucked in. I really liked it. The one thing I didnt like was that some of the sex was a bit to extreme. That made it one that my wife wouldnt read and made me cringe a bit. At that point it passed from a hot fantasy to a "hell no". and not the last sex scene, the middle ones. That's the only reason I took off a star.. Even BETTER than Exceptional ! Nautilus Reviewing a new entry of Arnica Butler is becoming a problem. I reviewed the old story “Black and White” and gave it five stars. This new version is even much better. I would give it six stars if that would be possible. Better because of the complexity and originality of the story. Better becauise of the torturously long teases. Better because of the intensity and the depravity of the hardcore part. Please, Arnica, more long stories.
