It also contains exercises and practice exams to help you prepare, and gives tips on what to study, including material that will be on the exam that is not covered in the PMBOK.What I like about this guide is the lack of fluf. "Do Yourself A Favor and Get This Book!" according to Cris E Pupper. If you are going to take the PMP exam, forget the PMBOK. Everything you need to know is in Rita's book, and it's much easier to study. She skips all the extraneous stuff and tells you what you need to know to pass the exam.Just studying may not be enough for some people, especially if test taking is not your thing. I also purchased Rita's CD full of exam questions. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. The questions on the were an accurate representation of those on the exam. I ended up easily passing with a 178, and would not have scored as high if I didn't have the exam CD.
