I am not a professional interior designer but I am an avid do-it-yourselfer and I have done lots of renovation projects around my home. This book is packed with lots of information that really helps with planning a renovations. It discusses building codes, floor plans and design, building materials, color, proportion of furniture, etc, etc. I learned so much! There are lots of full-color photos throughout the book. This is a great reference book to have around for.
