I, myself, can relate completely to her memoir, and find her courageousness in coming out about this to be truly aspiring! Many do not realize how difficult of a situation this can be and just how manipulative the perpetrator can be, sometimes leading others to "blame" the victim. Her book spoke to me and helped to normalize many of my feelings. I was able to see the many obstacles Laurie had to overcome to get where she is today. This detailed personal journal is both heart wrenching and inspiring. I was moved to tears several times as well as laughter while reading Laurie's jour. Retitle Vengence Before Mercy Liz I found this book a difficult readit seemed to be from a very vengeful woman who has convinced herself that she has recovered from drugs and alcoholism yet gives examples in her own book of getting drunk and taking "prescription pills". According to the author herself the acts were consensual (I know she was only 15) but 15 is old enough to know right from wrong and yes tell somebodyseems also strange to me that someone is "molested" as a 15 year old and then also raped and then also her
