Midu What I liked:the story began with the right amount of intrigue-I wanted to know more about the murderthe MC was independent, stubborn, the right amount of paranoid, had a sense of humor & was willing to go to any lengths to get the murderer- I liked her instantlythe LLE people behaved exactly the way they were rumored to be-even the duo helping the protagonistsWhat I didn't like:not enough of a back story or world-builidng to make the story feel more realthe climax was a let down-I expected more from the person who was too smart for the cops & so hell bent on getting the heroineEnough mystery. "More Than Just a Pretty Face" according to Jason Reeser. In this fifth installment of the Longevity Law Enforcement Series, S.J. Hunter takes us on a trip back to the origins of Livvy Hutchins, before she became an LLE officer. In the previous books, there were many allusions to her San Francisco days as a homicide detective, including her explanation as to how she came to leave the SFPD for the LLE. It was only a matter of time before Hunter finally let us in on the details.
