DESCRIPTION:
great read C. Williams I enjoyed reading this book - The Cartel - even though it was filled with "bad" people - drug dealers, murderers, etc.The story was really interesting, and sucked me in. Most of the characters had something likeable about them, and I cared what happened to them. A fair number of implausible coincidences stretched reality, but that happens alot in novels. There was some confusion for me regarding the age of one of the main characters, caused, I think, by a typo in the middle section of the novel. That sort of thing bothers me, though I'm sure alot of reader. If you love mexican soap operas. Jayson Casavant I guess I was thinking this book would be more like the Godfather, the Soprano's or even Serpico. Instead it was more of a Mexican soap opera. Lots of drama, some spice but very little about the actual Cartel or the Cartels business. Way too many characters made it sometimes difficult to follow.. "Long but enjoyable!" according to Michelle Rawls. This wasn't my usual kind of book, but, I thoroughly enjoyed. This is the first time I have read anything by this author but it won't be my last. This is a love story. One with redemption, kidnapping, molestation, crime, religion and a myriad of other stuff. A.K. brought out a whole slew of emotions in me as I read this story about love, jealousy and sibling rivalry. I certainly recommend this book to someone looking for a good read. Five stars*****Happy Reading,The Official DCbookreviewer
